Interview with Jessica James and Trisha Persaud
Emily McManus

Jessica James and Trisha Persaud are active members of the M.H.D.S. Vishnu Mandir's youth population. They are known primarily for the significant role they play in the production of the annual Diwali and Phagwah cultural shows. Both girls are in charge of selecting the music for the show, mostly from music videos out of India and Bollywood movies, and choreographing the movement. They help organize rehearsals on Friday night for the teenagers and Sunday mornings for the young children, and function as rehearsal leaders and teachers. On Friday evening they also participate--dancing in the group dance and the women's dance--and show off their ability to do it all.
